Illinois Board of Higher Education grants authority to establish the College

At its Mar. 1, 2016 meeting, the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) granted authority to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to establish the Carle-Illinois College of Medicine. Work continues toward receiving IBHE and Higher Learning Commission (HLC) approval of the College’s medical education programs, as well as accreditation of the College from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
