We are pleased to welcome Nora Few as our first Director of Admissions in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. She will serve a critical role in recruiting our first class of physician-innovators to begin in July 2018.

Nora brings a wealth of experience in admissions, policy and operations, and communicating through challenging situations. She brings a deep and broad understanding of the challenges medical students face and believes this perspective is critical in developing and implementing first-class admissions and recruitment programs.

Nora Few has been with the University of Illinois since 1990, including fifteen years at the UIC College of Medicine and seven years as an assistant dean in the Graduate College at Illinois. From 1995 to 2000 Nora was a graduate student on campus, earning a PhD in Health Behavior from the Department of Community Health at Illinois. She is also a trained dietitian and early in her career worked in Canada as an upper-level administrator in the prison system, a freelance nutritionist and as a small hospital dietitian. She has a Master of Health Sciences in Community Nutrition from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
