Sol Roberts-Lieb joins Carle Illinois as director of faculty development

Sol Roberts-Lieb will join the Carle Illinois College of Medicine on July 16, 2017 as director of faculty development. He will be responsible for leading efforts around faculty development and research supported practices.

Sol currently serves the associate director for Pedagogy Strategy for the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning at Illinois. In this role, he works with faculty and staff to create innovative strategies to engage students and improve the learning environment. Prior to this role, he served as director of Information Technology for the College of Fine and Applies Arts. In this role, Sol managed and directed a team responsible for designing and building online and blended courses in a variety of disciplines.

Sol is currently a working on his Doctorate of Education in Educational Policy and Organizational Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is specializing in Differentiated Instruction and Organizational Change. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois College in Chemistry and a Master of Arts Degree in Technology Impact and Assessment, a concentration in the Liberal and Integrative Studies program at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
