Biography

Dr. Park is a board-certified family medicine physician who has been practicing college health at the University of Illinois for more than a decade. She earned her undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Carle Health/University of Illinois. Prior to joining Carle Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Park was involved in medical education at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign and Peoria campuses for more than a decade in various roles. She has been recognized for her innovation in medical education, receiving the Innovation in Education Award from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign. She has a passion for the integration of basic and clinical sciences. She serves as a clinician editor at Aquifer Sciences and has completed the Master of Education in the Health Professions at Johns Hopkins University.

Teaching Statement

My main contribution to science is in medical education, focusing on curriculum development and instructional strategies, interprofessional education, professional identity formation, and health systems science and community health. I love working with students and faculty in developing innovation in medical education, making content engaging and applicable. I also love working with students in developing medical education or health systems science and community health related projects.
