Wellness Services and Resources
Mission
Our mission is to ensure our students have access to the support necessary to thrive throughout their medical education and foster a culture that values all domains of student wellness. Here are some services and resources at CI MED, throughout UIUC campus to help you continue toward your goals as a physician-innovator.
Mental Health Resources
Comprehensive psycho-social assessments, therapy, clinical consultations, and emergency triage, and referrals overseen by the Director of Student Wellness, Lauren Boucek, LCSW.
Therapy through CI MED follows a flexible-care model that balances the individual needs of students with the availability and capacity to meet the needs; rather than a set number of sessions. No additional fees are charged for therapy services through CI MED. As a therapist, Lauren does not have any evaluative role for CI MED students.
Referrals and support accessing various mental health resources, including the following:

- Campus and community therapists who provide specialized treatment for eating disorders, substance abuse, OCD, special populations, etc.
