Phyllis M. Wise Fund for Student Excellence supports student affairs programming

To support the most underrepresented in medicine, the Black Physicians of Carle have established the Black Physicians Launch, Thrive and Significance Fund at the University of Illinois Foundation and in partnership with Carle Center for Philanthropy. Donations to this fund will be used to create an annual scholarship to the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.

The Andrew and Hortense Call Barr Scholarship Fund has been established to support women medical students who begin their training on the Urbana-Champaign campus. 

$

The Daniel K. and Frances A. Bloomfield Medical Scholars Endowment Fund supports the Medical Scholars Program of the Urbana-Champaign campus of the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

$

The Bloomfield/Arnold Medical Scholars Program is intended to support students enrolled in the Medical Scholars Program of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine and will be based on academic merit.

The Diane Gottheil Scholarship Fund supports scholarships for first-year students at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. 

$

The Dr. Senen R. Dalisay Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund supports scholarships for graduate students. Recipients shall be selected based on academic merit and may be pursuing degrees in areas outside of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Graduate students researching early cancer detection and/or accuracy of cancer diagnosis to improve prognosis and/or response to treatment shall be given first consideration.

This fund supports the King Li, MD, MBA Physician Innovator Award Fund. The purpose of this annual award is to recognize students who best capture the mission of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Carle Illinois’ mission is to educate exceptional physician-innovators to deliver high-value, compassionate health care through transformative solutions developed at the intersection of engineering, science, and medicine.

This fund supports the James C. Leonard, MD Gold-Headed Cane Award Fund. The award shall be given to graduating medical students per practice in medical education in recognition of dedication to the health and welfare of patients. 

$

The Physician Innovator Caregiver Scholarship Fund supports scholarships for second- and third-year students whose familial obligations require them to take a break in the their medical education to care for a child or other family member.

$

The David and Nancy Morse Fund supports scholarships for medical students in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine during their time on the Urbana-Champaign campus. Scholarships recipients shall be selected based primarily upon financial need and secondarily upon academic merit.

The Patricia J and Charles C. C. O'Morchoe Fellowship in Leadership Skills Award Fund provides fellowships in leadership skills to an outstanding student (or students) enrolled in the Medical Scholars Program at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Recipients are chosen based on academic merit in both the M.D. and second degree curricula (Ph.D., J.D. or M.B.A.).

The Swartz/Flood Medical Scholars Fund is used to award prizes for outstanding presentations by students at conferences and symposia sponsored by the Medical Scholars Program.

All current gifts are matched at 7% by an anonymous donor.
