Biography

Ryann Monahan serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the world’s first engineering-based college of medicine. Previously, she held the role of Communications Coordinator for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Grainger College of Engineering where she led research and technology reporting and general communications. Prior she led research communications at Family Resiliency Center, a research institute at UIUC. Monahan is a trained journalist and was previously a broadcast journalist for six years.

• Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) member with affiliation to the Group on Institutional Advancement (GIA) which comprises alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and public affairs professionals.
