The Jump Simulation Center provides a risk-free, highly realistic environment where healthcare professionals and academic researchers can refine clinical skills, test new technologies, and improve patient safety. By combining advanced simulation-based education, state-of-the-art medical visualization, and multidisciplinary research techniques, Jump Simulation enables teams to evaluate complex workflows, reduce care costs, and develop evidence-based practices that elevate healthcare delivery and outcomes globally.
Virtual Reality
Immersive virtual reality training recreates the setting, pace, and movements of a real operating room through realistic medical scenarios.
Manikins
Full-size manikins that act and react as a real patients, including infants, children, and adults, help students prepare for both the expected and unexpected in medical situations.
Task Trainers
Practicing routine skills with a clear focus enables students to perfect their muscle memory and develop a second-nature feel for common procedures under pressure.

Through a transformative in-kind gift from Elevate Healthcare, Carle Illinois College of Medicine is introducing state-of-the-art patient simulators, AI-enabled assessment tools, and advanced simulation hardware to the Jump Simulation Center. This partnership redefines hands-on medical training and opens exciting new avenues for student-led innovation.

Jump Simulation Center
The Jump Simulation Center was launched by a generous $10 million gift from Jump Trading with the mission of training a new type of doctor, uniquely equipped to transform healthcare. The center provides all the simulation training needs for the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
The Jump Simulation Center Urbana is located in the lower-level of Everitt Laboratory, home to the Department of Bioengineering.
