Official Key Dates

July – November 2026: Internal selection rounds and institutional vetting.

November 15th, 2026: Global Application Closing Date. All materials must be uploaded.
- December 15th, 2026: Semi-Finalists (maximum 40 teams) officially announced.

March 1st, 2027: All new institutional partnerships must be finalized. Please note, the contracts process takes approximately one (1) month to complete.

April 30th, 2027*: Live Semi-Final Pitches take place in Houston, Texas.

May 1st, 2027*: Finalists announced and mentoring sessions available to review project pitches.

May 2nd, 2027*: Grand Finals (approximately 15 teams based on TRL), live elite panel judging, and winner announcements.

Expectations of Winners
Teams advancing to the Grand Finals and receiving financial capital awards must formally agree to:

Submit a comprehensive, milestone-driven project Statement of Work (SoW).

Provide quarterly digital progress reports regarding clinical, engineering, and regulatory updates.

Support future applicant pools by speaking in developer and strategy webinars.

Dedicate a portion of their prize funding to attend the 2028 GCIEM Global Summit to present a live, year-one progress evaluation.
