Student Team Eligibility

Team Eligibility & Composition

• Structure: Teams must consist of a minimum of 3 currently registered students (including undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD tracks). There is no maximum team size limit.

• Interdisciplinary: Structural diversity is required. Teams must integrate multiple academic fields (e.g., engineering, business, computer science). At least one member of the core student team must be from a medical or health profession track.

• Mentorship: Teams are highly encouraged to collaborate with faculty members or industry experts as advisors. However, mentors cannot be listed as part of the core competing student team.

• Institutional Sponsorship: The leading academic institution representing the team must hold active membership with the GCIEM. Only the primary institution must be a member if a team spans multiple universities.
