Expanded ‘coin funds’ for research beyond Capstone and Data Science
Launched new REDI program led by faculty in the Department of Biomedical and Translational Sciences to enhance research opportunities. This also included statistician support.
Recruited eleven clinical research mentors to help students connect with clinicals at Carle and across Campus.
Included a research mentor-medical student match session with over 25 faculty from across campus and Carle Health at Medx 2024 to be offered each year.
Developed a flow chart that assists students to navigate the process to get involved with research at CI MED.
Launched a new research focused website to support student research and provide additional resources.
Revamped discovery learning, now MORE3, with expanded opportunities current and future.
Hired a new Associate Dean for Research and Director of Student Research
Carle Health’s CITI human subjects training is now accepted in lieu of the University’s IRB training module when there are collaborations between CI MED students and faculty who are Carle Health employees.
