David and Nancy Morse Fund

The David and Nancy Morse Fund supports scholarships for medical students in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine during their time on the Urbana-Champaign campus. Scholarships recipients shall be selected based primarily upon financial need and secondarily upon academic merit. First year medical students based in Urbana-Champaign will have eligibility and second year medical students and beyond may have eligibility if they continue their academic and clinical work on the Urbana-Champaign campus.

Students enrolled in the Medical Scholars Program shall be eligible; however, that is not a requirement and scholarships for those in the Medical Scholars Program shall be limited to that period of time they are doing academic or clinical work in the College of Medicine. Scholarships may be renewable as long as the selection criteria described herein are satisfied, and it is the Donor's intention that there be fewer scholarships of greater magnitude rather than a greater number of scholarships at a more modest level of funding.
