American College of Physicians (ACP) Illinois Downstate Outstanding Medical Student Award

This award is given to a senior medical student from each of the three medical schools located within the chapter of the ACP downstate region. The student is selected based upon demonstrated commitment to a career in Internal Medicine, demonstration of the qualities that exemplify the ACP’s mission “to enhance the quality and effectiveness of healthcare by fostering excellence and professionalism in the practice of medicine” and excellence on the third-year medicine clerkship manifested by the strength of comments from their third-year rotation.
