Award for Academic and Design Excellence in Simulation (A.D.E.S.)

Award for Academic and Design Excellence in Simulation (A.D.E.S)

The A.D.E.S. Award honors the legacy of Lindsey Ades, a member of the Class of 2023, whose impact on simulation at Carle Illinois continues to shape how our students learn today. This award was created to recognize students who carry that same spirit forward. The recipient of the A.D.E.S. Award is someone who doesn’t just engage in simulation; they help build it, refine it, and push it further. They demonstrate creativity and innovation, paired with a strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of what learners truly need. Their work reflects a commitment to realism, engagement, and meaningful challenge, creating experiences that go beyond participation and truly impact learning.

This award recognizes a student who has made a lasting contribution to the simulation program and, in doing so, has helped advance how we prepare future healthcare professionals. The recipient’s name will be added to the perpetual plaque displayed in the Jump Simulation Center, serving as a reminder of the standard they have set for those who follow.
