Carle Illinois Humanism in Medicine Award
Carle Illinois Humanism in Medicine Award
The Carle Illinois College of Medicine Humanism Award is modeled after the Gold Humanism Award and recognizes students who are exemplars of compassionate patient care and who serve as role models, mentors, and leaders in medicine. To be considered, a student must rank in the top 20% of the graduating class in peer or faculty/staff nominations, positive professionalism reports, or service learning and community service. Candidates are evaluated based on an essay discussing how they have embraced the Gold Humanism Foundation Oath. Recipients of this award receive a Handshake Pin to be worn at their Convocation in May.
