Global Health Innovation Grand Challenge
Welcome to the Global Health Innovation Grand Challenge 2026.
This prestigious event brings together university students from around the world to develop solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in health care. Hosted by the Global Consortium for Innovation and Engineering in Medicine, the competition is open to member-institution multidisciplinary student teams, including medical students, who will have the opportunity to collaborate and shape the future of medicine.
This year's semi-final and final competition events will be held at the 2026 Global Summit in Taipei, Taiwan, April 10-12, 2026.

Grand Challenge RFP Now Available
This Grand Challenge invites visionary teams to propose bold, engineering-based solutions to some of the most pressing global health challenges. We seek innovative approaches that will advance health equity, improve patient outcomes, and transform healthcare delivery worldwide.
The submission portal is now open here!
The submission portal offers applicants the opportunity to submit proposals for consideration. We encourage interdisciplinary teams of clinicians, engineers, researchers, and innovators from across the globe to review the RFP and begin preparing their submissions.
