Shig Yasunaga MD Student Award

To Honor His Legacy, This award recognizes the legacy of Dr. Shig Yasunaga for his compassionate care, commitment to increasing access to health care, and fierce dedication to his patients and practice.  This award also honors his daughter, Dr. April Yasunaga who served as the inaugural Associate Dean for Student Affairs at Carle Illinois College of Medicine from February 2017 to November 2019.  She led Student Affairs with integrity, deep compassion for students, and extraordinary passion for serving those in need. The student selected portrays these attributes of Drs. Shig and April Yasunaga.
