Jump Simulation Center
It's no secret that perfect practice makes perfect. The very essence of practice, simulation training is revolutionizing medical education. Enhancing technical skills in a low-risk environment with virtual reality, manikins, and more, it's as close to reality as possible without affecting a human's health and safety while a student learns. Scroll to explore our equipment and learning spaces, and make a reservation for your simulation training.
Immersion training into medical scenarios through virtual reality helps replicate the setting, energy, and motions of working in a real-life operating room.
Full-size manikins that act and react as a real patients, including infants, children, and adults, help students prepare for both the expected and unexpected in medical situations.
Practicing routine skills with a clear focus enables students to perfect their muscle memory and develop a second-nature feel for common procedures under pressure.
The Jump Simulation Center was launched by a generous $10 million gift from Jump Trading with the mission of training a new type of doctor, uniquely equipped to transform health care. The new center provides all the simulation training needs for the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
The Jump Simulation Center Urbana is located in the lower-level of the newly renovated Everitt Laboratory, 1406 W. Green Street, Urbana, IL 61801. Everitt Laboratory also serves as home to Department of Bioengineering at Illinois.
