About This Lab

Led by Unit Director Brian Cunningham, the Holonyak Micro and Nanotechnology Lab is one of the country's largest and most sophisticated university facilities for conducting photonics, microelectronics, biotechnology, and nanotechnology research. Holonyak Lab is the hub for campus researchers and visiting scientists who come to design, build, and test innovative nanoscale technologies with feature sizes that span the range of atoms to entire systems.

Within the Holonyak Micro and Nanotechnology Lab, Elbashir Araud is a Research Scientist and the lab manager of the Bio and Nanotechnology Laboratory. His expertise is in virology and microbiology, with emphasis on inactivation technologies of enteric human and animal viruses.
