U.S. News & World Report 2022 Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs

The Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is among the nation’s best online master’s degree programs, according to the latest rankings released by U.S. News and World Report.

Carle Illinois College of Medicine aligns its engineering-based curriculum with the top-ranked engineering program, with courses designed by teams of basic scientists, clinicians, and engineers.  Carle Illinois’ is the first medical school to integrate engineering and data science into its curriculum.

“The Grainger College of Engineering continually ranks among top in the nation and Carle Illinois medical students have the opportunity to learn from elite researchers and work on breakthrough innovations that are changing the face of medicine. Engineering principles are woven into students’ academic, clinical, and hands-on learning experiences and are a big part of their journey to become tomorrow’s physician innovators,” King Li, Inaugural Dean of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine said.

The Grainger College of Engineering was ranked #6 overall for online master’s in engineering out of 104 in Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs with five top-ranked online master’s programs and #4 for in Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs for Veterans. Departmental online program rankings include #1 Civil, #2 Mechanical, #4 Electrical, and #14 Industrial.

As the world’s first engineering-based medical school, Carle Illinois integrates UIUC’s unparalleled assets in engineering, technology and supercomputing into all four years of its curriculum.
